WOODVILLE NOTES
' As a result of heavy, rain the tracks ;were heavy at Woodville on Saturday ;morning and sprints down the home, stretch were what were required of most. ;of the horses sent out to do fast work.' A number of horses were schooled," I •among them being Count Willonyx, the latest arrival at Woodville, who partnered Rioghail over six brush fences. It was a sound, if careful, display. Ythan 's task. was over six of the schooling hurdles and he jumped a bit •erratically. Royal Mimic (C, McGovern) and iGiven (I. Rohloff) jumped the country •and gave quite a good exhibition. The Limond — Jewel of Asia colt for 'which Mr W. H. Gaisford paid a stiff iprice, and the Posterity — Homage filly, •the sister of Heritage, arrived at Fred Davis' stable last week and they did not take long to settle down in their new quarters. Both have been broken in and the colt, who was shod on Saturday, looks a very contented sort. N. Oavaney will ride Rona Bay and iMarjory Daw at the Dannevirke meeting, and P. Atkins will be on Mandamus, . . ,. . .■
