SMUGGLER ESCAPES
Leaps from Dock in Court LONDON, April 22. Charles McMorrow, after being convicted for smuggling and being fined £100, in default six months' imprisonment, in Dowra, County Leitrim, leapt from the doc.k, and sprinted and outdistanced his pursuers. He plunged into the river Shannon, swam to the other side, and headed for the Cuileagh mountains, the boundary of the Free ' State and Ulster. j
