Norsewood Cricket. Last Wednesday afternoon a very enjoyable cricket match was played -hetween teams from North and South Norsewood. The challeogers (South Norsewood) batted first and compiled the creditable score of 112, but they were beaten' by North, who mad© 141. For South a fine and sparkling partnership by A. Bennett (61) and E. Parsons (29) was a feature of the match. For North, double figures were made by Harris (67), O. OBishop (33) and J. Madson (23). North won by 29 runa. South challenger the winners to a return match nexb Wednesday. Waipawa Mothers' Union. The monthly meeting pf the Waipawa Mothers' Union, he'ri at St. Peter's Church, was presided over by the Rev. W. T. Drake, who also delivered an address and conducted the service. At the conclusion of these ceremonies, the visitors, who included members of the Waipukurau Mothers' Union, were entertaiued in the schoolroom. Harvest Festivai. St. Peter's Church, Waipawa, was completely filled on Ihursday evening on the occasion of the harvest festival service. The vicar, the Rev. W. 'L\ Drake, was assisted by.the Rev. R. T. Hail (Otane) and Canon Rice, Waipukurau. The musical portion of the impressive service was rendered by the combined choirs of the Otane and Waipukurau churches, who assisted the St; Peter's choir. At the conclusion ot the service a social hour was spent in the schoolroom. Otane Mothers' Union. The Otane Mothers' Union held its monthly meeting on Thursday afternoon. Owing to the unavoidable absence of the vicar, the service was conducted by tho president, » Mrs Hall, who also presided over the meeting later, when an adjournment was made to -the Sunday school room. A most interesting and enjoyable travel talfe w'as given by Mrs T. J. C. Warren, who .was accorded a very hearty vote of appreciation A delicious afternoon tea was.served by the hostesses, Mesdames, Bailie, Bartlett and Black, and a pleasant eocial half hour was spent-
