HAWERA, Last Night. Hon. W. E. Parry addressed the district county councils this morning on the amalgamation of local bodies. He suggested a merger of five south Taranaki counties with possibly a sixth to form one controlling body. Nothing dcfinite was reached and the scheihe may be further diseussed at a conference of the local bodies coneerned.
