WAIPUKURAU, This Day: The chairman of the Waipawa Hospital Board, in moving yesterday that the resignation of Mr R. A: Fraser be accepted with very much regret, referred to a statement which had appeared in the Central Hawke's Bay i'ress after the meeting, of the Hospital Board on March 17. In this statement, Mr Rathbone said, it was stated that Mr Fraser' s letter had been written and posted ou March 15, which inferred that the letter sliould have been dealt with at the last meeting of the board. Mr Fraser' s letter was on the tahle now and fche letter was dated March 16 and the envelope was post-marked in Takapau on March 16, while inquiries l'evealed that the letter was posted in Takapau after 3 p.m. on March 16, wliiOi made it iniipossible fcr the letter to reach the board until after their meeting on March 17.
