TWYFORD BACHELORS' AND SPINSTERS' BALL

Green, oranga and yellow wero the colours chosen for decorating the Fernhill Hall for the recent rendezvous ball inaugurated by the Twyford bachelors and spinsters. Bright coloured balloons hung from the centre of the stage and presented a gay appearance. A bright and happy evening was spent dancing to the strains of music sujAed by Les Henry's orchestfa, and extras were played by Mr. P. Flowers and Mr. Harrison. The Monte Cailo danee was wou by Miss J. Trotter and partner. A special wotd of praise is due to the secretary, and also to the young ladies in charge of the supper arrangonients. Mr. John Trotter made an efficient M.C. The bachelors and spinsters are to te congratulated on the success of their ball. the proceeds from which should considerably help the Twyford Hall funds. , Among those present were: — Mrs. W. Hope, prune panne velvet vith violet shoulder spray. Mrs. Grant, black lace frock fashioned with a georgette coat. Mrs. A. Morse, parchment needlerun lace trained and finished with silver girdle. Mrs. J. Jarvis, magnolia satin with open work trimmings and natural spray. . Mrs. B. Jarvis, pink and white' floral georgette the sleeves fully flared and the waistline finished with graduated frill. Miss E. Aitcheson, self-spotted moire caffeta with puffed sleeves and a spray finishing the waistline. Miss Carter, leaf green moire taffeta trimmed with pink roses. Miss N. O'Connor, black- panne velvet with large bow at back hnd finished with pink roses. Mrs. Alsop, - ivory satin with a trained skirt, silver girdle with silver butlons trimming the sleevees. Miss P. MeCormick, , smart black frock.
