Waipawa Crass Fire. The Waipawa fire alarm sounded shortly after 2.30 p.m. yesterday, thd brigade being called but to suppress a grass fire in a vacant section adjoining' the Presbyterian Manse. Bright entertainment was providvd ,for the patients of tbe -Waipukurau Public Hospital on Suhday . when fhe Waipukurau Town Band combined with the Waipawa Band to play a selection , of musical items in- fhe hospital grounds- The bandsmen were afterwards entertained to afterrioon tea and Were accorded a vote of thanks for their servjces- Mr E.
