Meeting of Central H.B. Branch

WAIPAWA, Last Night. A meeting of the Central Hawke's Bay branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute was held at Waipawa on Saturday, Mr Y. Parsons presiding over a good attendance of members. The branch resolved to affiliate with the Central Hawke's Bay Rugby SubUnion as the Central Hawke's Bay Primary Schools Rugby Club, .and Mr . Y. Parsohs was appointed delegate to • the sub-union. The favourable reception accorded the branch's delegate (Mr T. Taylor) at the ariirual meeting of the sub-union was coinmented on by members, who expressed pleasure and g/ratitude at tbe sympatbetic manner in which the matters raised by Mr Taylor were received by the tinion. A meeting of delegates of the various schools Will be held on April 30 to arrange for a winter programme of sports (football and basketball). The branch agreed. to co-operate with the Wellington committee, which is ihaking arrangements for the gathering of the new Education Pellowship in July, when many of the most distinguished educationists of , the world will , assemble in New Zealand.
