Gordon Walker Ltd. A full entry in all sections and an oxcellent attendance of the public weTe rec-orded by Messrs Gordon Walker Ltd. at their weekly market sale on Saturday. Poultry maintained laAe rates to cell to an unsatisfled demand, but most- | ly late layers were penned in the pullet class, thus causing an oasing of values. Pullets on lay are in strong demand. Weaners and slips are still selling to a dull maiket in the pig section, though late raies were rcalised throughout. Tho demand for porkers and baconors has * never been so good, for months past and an astsured market at top rates pTevails for theso grades. Dairy stock sold well ai' i all sundries met with keen competition. Prices realised were as follow: — Poultry: Table birds 1/11 to 7/10, W.L. hens 1/11 to 2/7 and 1/6 to 2/1, W.L. cockerels 2/3 to 3/1 and 1/6 to 2/5, W.L. 'pullets 4/- to 5/9 (late) 2/to 3/6, B.O. hens 2/5 to 3/4, B.O. cockerels 3/1 to 3/10 and 2/2 to 3/-, B.O. pullets 3/7 to 5/2 (late) 2/1 to 3/6, others (hens) 1/11 to 2/2 (cockerels) 1/11 to 21/, (pullets) to 4/1, pigeons at 9d, turkeys 5/- to 5/9. ducks 3/6 to 7/6 per pair. Pigs: Weaners 9/6 to 15/6 and 5/- to 9/-, slips 13/6 to 19/-, stores 16/- to £1 1/6, light porkers £1 4/6 tO £1 12/6, porkers £1 9/6 to £1 19/-, heavy porkers £J 19/6 to £2 12/-, choppers at £1 10/-. Stock: Aged gelding £3 10/-, cowts at £5, heifers to £4. Sundries included trailer £12, tyres and wheels £1 2/6 to £1 15/-, cart saddle £2 15/-, nian's cyelo £3 10/-, 43 heaps timber 12/- to £1 15/-, lawnmowers 12/6 to £1, sink 12/6, wire strainer 10/6, sledge hammer 6/6, epade 6/-., saw 5/-, galv. tray 6/-, cob maize 2/- to 10/-, sacks 2/6, wheelbarrows 15/- and 33/-, wedges 3/-, axe 2/6 and further odd lots at ruling rates. Produce and fruit, including apples, tcmatoes, watermelons and all seasonal vegetables sold at vendors' rates.
