Annual Meeting Held The Women's Division of the Palmers' Union, Takapau branch, held its annual general meeting on Friday, the president, Mrs. N. M. Paulsen, presiding over a good attendance of nicmbers. In her report the president showed the help that had been given to sick country women, the balance sheet sliowIng that £23 13/- had been spent in tho district in welfare-work, and £31 spont in W.D.F.U. interests, in "Health Campaign," organising, in conjunction with the Women 's Institute, a concert for the Blind Institute, and sending out books to isolated homes. She stressed tho point that members. should band themselves together to assist the Farmors' Union in all matters pertaining to farmers, and the stronger the organisation, the more weight primary producers would have in saf eguarding their produce. Thanks were given to the outgomg officers and to Mr. O. H. Bjorngaard for auditing the balance sheet, and to all those who so kindly helpe in many way throughout the year. Mrs.. N. M. Paulsen was re-elected president for the ensuing year.
