Annual Meeting Held

TAKAPAU, This Day. . The Women 's Division of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, Takapau branfeh, held their annual generai meeting on. Friday afternoon, the 'preSident, Mrs. N. M. Paulsen, presiding over a good atteadanee.In her report, the president showed that help had been given to sick country women, the balance-sheet showing that £23 13/- had been spent in the district on welfare work and £31 spent in W.D.F.U. interests, namely, N.Z. ' ' Health Campaign ' organising the eoncert for the Blind Institute in conjunction with Women 's Institute and sending out books to isolated homes. She stressed the point that all should band' themselves together to assist the Farmers' Union in all matters appertainjng to farming, and the stronger the organisation the more weight they would have in safeguarding their pro1 ductSi Thanks were given to the outgoing officerw, to Mr. H. B. Bjongaard for auditing the balance-sbeet, and to all those who had so kindly helped in many ways throughout the year. Mrs. N. M. Paulsen was re-elected president, and Mrs. N, J. Poulton, honorary *ecretary. * Afternoon tea was served. .
