MRS A. M. STANLEY

Mrs Alice Mary Stanley, whose death occurred suddenly in Wellington on Thursday night, was a well-known iigure in Hastings, where she fiad re-i sided for the past 50 years. Born at Thames 65 years ago, Mrs Stanley came to Hastings at the age of 15, and later, married Mr Richard Stanley^ who pre* deceased her six and a-half years ago* After fier marriage, Mrs Stanley lived in Karamu road, but since fier fiuw band's death sfie fiad resided in Queen street. Mrs Stanley was of a quiet and re* tiring disposition, but fiad a large circla of friends, wfio feel fier loss deeply. Sfie is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mesdames G, S. Williams and I. H. Clearkin, and Messrs W. N, Stanley and R. J. Stanley, of Hastings. . Tfie interment will take place at tfio * Hastings Cemetery to-morrow.
