LOCAL-BODY OFFICERS
#• Claims of Industrial Union ftegarding the claims ojF the Wellington Local Body Officers' Industrial Union of Workers, the Hastings Borough Council last evening received a letter from the Town Clerk, Wellington ,advising that at a representative meeting of local authcrities in the Wellington provincial district, the following suggestions were made touching the proposed "union claims : — (a) That no local body entcr into any agreememt with "the local body Officers' Union without reference to their respective association. (b) That an advisory committee be set up to formulate and co-ordinate oounter proposals to be submitted to the union. This committee to consist of three representatives appointed by the Municipal Association, three by the Counties' Association, tw0 by the Power Boards' Association, one by the Hospital Board's Association, with power to co-opt additional members as required. The council decided to adopt these suggestions
