OYSTER-TINTED LACE FOR BRIDE'S GOWN

CLIFFORD-MARSH — O'KANE

I The wedding was solemnised recently at St. M&ry's of Angels, Boulcott I street, Wellington, of Kathleen, daughter of Mrs and the late Mr P. O'Kane, Makotuku, Hawke's Bay, and George Leonard, son of Mr and Mrs J G. E. Clifford-Mareh, Berhampore, Wellington. The Bev. Father Dignan, S.M., I oihciated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother-in-laAV, Mr E. Leckie, wore a beautiful model gown of oyster-tinted lace mounted on satin. The neckline was cowled in front and caught with a spray of orange blossom and the long full sleeves were pointed over the hands. She wore satin shoes and a satin cap with stiffened brim of net and earried a- beautiful shower bouquet of pink carnations aiid roses. « The hridesmaid, Miss Ngarie Ross, of Porangahau, wore a gown of duck-egg blue embossed velvet havi'ng a cowl neckline and a wide sash at the waist looped at the back. 'Velvet shoes were worn and a lace hat to tone. Her bouquet was of sweet-peas and rosee. The best man was Mr J. Pye. A quiet reception after the ceremony was held at Lyall Bay where the bride and bridegroom's parents reeeived the guests. Mrs O 'Kane wore a black tailored costume and peaeh bloom hat and earried a posy in autumn tints. Mrs Clifford-Marsh wore a royal blue eneemble and hat and earried a scarlet posy. When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon, a tour of the South Island, the bride changed into a erushed strawberry ensemble with brown trimmings. She wore a brown velvet toque, brown skin shoes and earried a crocodile purse. She also wore a beautiful brown kolinsky fur coat. The bridegroom '» present to the bride was a silver tea service and the bride gave the bridegroom a gold wristlet watch. Mr and Mrs Leonard CliffordMarsh will reside in "Wellington.
