Harvey, Fulton and Hill Messrs Harvey, Fulton and Hill report having l^eld their usual weekly market sale in their mart, Russell street, Hastings, last Saturday, when there was a very large attendance of the publii. The entries in all seitions were extremely heavy, but nevertheless th j demai'tl all through "was very keen, espcrially for timber and iron. All the large entry sold at extreme rates. T'oultry, as is usual after Easter, sold at quite reasonable rates although at {■•oinevhah easier prices. Values may be quoted : — Poultry: B.O. pullets 5/6 to 6/6, W.L. pullets 5/3 to 7/-, B.Q. hens, 2/6 to 3/3, W.L, hens, 1/6 to 1/8, Sussex hens, 2/- to 2/7, ducks 4/- to 5/- pair, Muscovy dueks 6/- to 7/- pair. Miscellaneous : Timber, 5/- to £5; frames, 15/-, machlining 18/- to £2 to 4/2 sheet, doors £1, 6 pieces flooring £1 a piece, 3 at lo/6, piping 10/-, 2/-, weather boarding £1 12/-, iron 3/9 firewood £1 13/-, doors 3/- to 19/-, windows 4/6 to 12/6, wheelbarrow £1 7/-, shotgun £1 10/-, singje lever plough £7 10/-, deioy £2 19/6, pig potatoes 2/6 sack, small roller 11/-, cream lan 12/6, empty tins 8d' to lOd, seagrass chair 7/6, double mattress £1 15/-, single mattress £1 2/6, push ehair £1, door 7/6- pram £1 5/-, K. table 10/-, tea-waggon £1, store truck £2, el. stove £5 10./-, duchesse £3 15/-, chesterfield £6, A large quantity of vegetables were •sold at improved rates
