Opening .of Hastings Season The first • concert of the 1937 season will be keld in- tke Municipal Tkeatre, Hastings, next Siinday at *8i45 p.m. in aid of'the New Relief Workers' Association distress funds. A fine programme has been arranged. The opening items will be giv6n by Mr Les Henry and kis ever-pepular orchestra in some of tke' lafest kits, assisted by Unele Peter- On tke' double bass. Tke star item of* tke programme will be the reappearance " of .Uncle Peter of 2ZP, Wairoa, who will be heard in piano and piano-aceordeon novelties and request items. - His concert paTty will con«ist of several. of" tke -2ZP cousins, including Jacky, ' Audry, Lillian, Mary, Joyee Ingo, Noleen and Doug. Brown. Tkis will be liie final appearance of little Do'ug. Br'own, ' the ever-popular singer of 2ZP, who is leaving for the south.. • MiSs.- Peggy" Black, of Napier, will give- several actiQu songs. A number of * bari jo ■ sdlos will be given by Unale George of 2ZP. The booking is at Denton* Wy.att 's, Heretaunga street, Hastings. Because Of tke increase.of, theatre chargds, the- committee has heen compelled to make -the prices for booked seats 1/6- •
