Jersey from Gay Vienna
f^NITWEAR is beeoming inereasingly popular and is likely to retain an important plaee throughout Spring. Many attractive novelties have their origin in Vienna, among them jerseys with bark effects, and others so thin as to appear like crepe georgette. The fabric fashions not only sportswear, but afteruoon and evening gowns, and hats. Variety of weave is endless. There are jerseys with mossy suri'aces, with animal hair. effects; with velvet, plush or even glassy finishes. Wool and Iinen, linen and rayon, are featured in combination and one special silk yarh looks like lustrous straw. Cut out lace patterns, fine openwork, and pleated effects provide further interest. Shades sueli as strawberry red, beige, grey, pinks and greens are contrasted with dark li'imuiings. For instance, light blue, beige and pink are often bordered Vith bordeaux red. Striped effects in jersey ?show simil'ar eolour contrasts. $
