Waipukurau Branch Meets The monthly meeting of the Waipukurau branch of the Plunket Society was held on Tuesday afternoon, Mrs J. Hobson presiding "over Mesdames W. A. Chambers, M. Johlin, J. D. Ormond, J. H. Walker, H. S. Hooper, C. B. Moore, I. W. N. Mackie, E^Broad, J. L. Brathwaite, F. B. McWilliam, G. E. Gideoii, L. Harker, J. W.'Harding and the secretary, Miss A. Hobson. An apology was tendered from Mrs Dunbar. Plunket Nurse Campbell eubmitted the following report for the. month o± March: — Visits to rooms: Waipukurau, adulta 117, babies 115, children 73, total 365; Takapau, adiilts 43, babies '35, children 24, total. 102; Porangahau, adults 27, babies 15, children 15, total 57. Visits to Home: Waipukurau 90, Takapau 23, Porangahau 6. New cases: Waipukurau S, Takapau 2, Porangahau 1. Cses under care: Waipukurau 283, Takapa 96. fcarilac eold 29lbs., Karioi and Karil sold 251bs. Letters written 3, letters reeeived 4. Parcels of clothing have been reeeived and thanks expressed to Mesdames Stevenson, Sim, Wills, Bjorngaard, and Chalmers. Mesdames Paul Hunter 's and F. A. G. Dunn's resignations from the committee were reeeived with regret. In view of Mrs Hunter 's many years of service to the society it was proposed that she be elected a life member. The secretary reported that the proeeeds from " the stock drive in aid of the society amounted to £137 15/2 . and the proceeds from Plunket week £38 18/6. The secretary was instructed to send letters ofeappreciation to Mr J. G. Stewart, Mr I. W. N. Mackie, chairman of 'the men's committee, and the Toc H committee for their valuable assistance in helping to raise funds. Mesdames Mackie and Harker were appointed visitors to the rooms for the ensuing month. It was deeided to hold the annual general meeting in the Salvation Army Hall on May 11. Aceounts amounting lo 5/6 were passed for payment. Sub^criptions were reeeived with thanks from Mrs J. Habsoa and Miss 'Aurelia Hobson.
