HOSPITAL PATIENTS

Napier and Hastings Inmates ' Two- hundred and nineteen patients were inmates o'f the public hospital s of Hastings and' Napier og March 31, according to a report of the medical superintendent of the Hawke's Bay Hospital. Board, Dr. J. J. Foley, adopted at yesterday's meeting of the board. At tbe Hastings Memorial Hospital tbere were 49 patients and at the Napier Hospital 170. Ten. major . and 53 minor operations were performed during March at the Memorial Hospital, and 31 major and 78 minor operations at the Napier Hospital.. In the matefnity divisions of the institution, 15 babies were born at the Memorial Hospital . and nine at McHardy Home, Napier.
