HASTINGS HOSPITAL
Alieged Suppression of Information DEPARTMENTAL REPORT "I wish to protest against the way you are suppressing information. The sooner thi's inquiry is held the better," said Dr. J. Allan Berry at yesterday 's meeting of the Hawke's Bay Hospital 1 Board when objecting to a proposal to ( refer for consideration in committee extracts from the report of Miss Lambie, of the Division of Nursing, and Dr. Shore, of the Health Department following their recent visit to the Memorial Hospital, Hastings. Mr. C. O. Morse asked if the General Purposes Committee at Hastings had considered the matter. The chairman, Mr. C. Lassen, replied in the negative. "I think that it should be referrod to the appropriate committee before it is considered by the board," said Mr. Morse. "I have noticed several things at the Memorial Hospital th*t have not been in order which the department has evidently dropped on. I don't want to see the Hastings Memorial Hospital dragged through the mire like the Napier Hospital has been." On the motion of Mr. H. V. Hoadley it was agreed that the extracts of the report be referred to the General Purposes Committee at Hastings. '
