Mr. Ray Williams Mr Ray Williams, of Taradale, who left to-day for Svdney, to join the Tliemistoeles en route for Cape Town, lias been tlie recipient of many gifts lrom friends and orgauisations during tlie past few days. He has resigned from his position as assistant engineer to the Napier Harbour Board, and at the end of last week the outside staff presented him through the engineer, Mr G. W. B. Lowson, with a wallet of notes. Mr Williams lias been an enthusiastic niiembcr of tlie Teohniral College Old Iloys' Football Club, having been , both a player and a coach.' Club mem-
bers met him recently -and presentec him with a blazer. From a number of his Napier friend: he has received a travelling bag, this presentation being made at a socia function at Miss Davis' studio in Wel lesley road. The Puketapu Sports Clul ' also gave him a farewell present, whik last niglit tbe Napier Amateur Athleti( and Cyciing Club met him and -mad* him a gift.
