PALMERSTON N., Saturday. The Manawatu autumn meeting conclnided at Awapuni on Saturday in delightfully fine weather. There was a very big attendance; the course was in perfeet order and the racing was interesting throughout. The totalisator handled £24,994 10/-, as against £13,049 10/-, and the total for the meeting was £42,773, as compared with £23,274 10/-, the increase being £19,498 10/-. The Tamatete Handicap was won by The Buzzer; the Sires' Produce Stakes by Smoke Screen; the Longburn Handicap by Lady Ina and the North Island Hack Plate by Corroboree.
