WRESTLING CONTROL
H.B. Assoeiation Meets A meeting of the executive of the Hawke's Bay Wrestling Assoeiation was held last week when the chaii-mau, Mr G. Henderson, presided over Messrs H. G. Apperley, C. O- Tong„ Tom King, J. L. Dunn, E. Chittie, a. K. .).» .. Jos. Arrell, H. W. Abhott, T. W. Naisbitt and the secretary-treasurer, Mr U. B. Bunny. Arrangements were finalised for tbe Dr. Gordon McKenzie v. Don. Mcln- j tjTe eontest. Mr Alex Anderson, Palmerston North, was appointed referee for the professional eontest, and Mr G. T. Deakin, a recent addition from Wellington to the police force, for the amateur preliminaries. A ballot for new members was held bringing the membership up to the liinit allowed. The sub-coinniittee reported that th» new lingside seating was being made and would be ready for the Dr. Goi'dou McKenzie — Don Mcintyre bout. It was decided to eugage the McKai family orchestra to play before the .vrestling commcnced. The following are the amateur bouts arranged for Friday's wrestling: — G. Morris v. J. Stewart, W. Whittaker v. E. McCormick. W. Hamilton v. F. Woods, J. Boyd v. Hunt; emergeney bout, A. Skudder v. L. CaTberry.
