A crowd oi' about 10,000 gatkered at Haglev Fark ycsterday afternoon to see Ihe largest military parade in Christchurch for rnany years for the consecratiou and prcsentation of the new guidon giveu by Sir R. Heaton ithodes to tlie Canterbuiy Yeomanry cavalry regiment. The GovernorGeneral, Viscount Galway, presented the new guidon and Archbishop .Tuihu? conduetod the consecnition. service. The ceremony was an inipressive oue. The wenlhey was overcast but Lheit was no rain.
