AUCKLAND, Last Night. Counsels for constitutional procedure prevailed -in the f ace of advoeacy for direct aetion at a stormy meeting of- * 150-producors when the decision of the M-ilk Council to increase the price of • milk at the-farm gate from 9fd to lld per gallon was received. To cover costs of production the producers sought a payment of one shilling during the winter. monthsi. After about 20 producers had retired- from the meeting a motion stating that no direct aetion should be taken until- such time ns all constitutional means had been exhausted was adopted, and it was decided to express the opinion that the producers were ab- ' solutely -dissatisfied with the price that was fixed and that every endeavour should be made to have the price brought up to the figure submitted by the producers to the Council.
