"This is outside our province. It savouts of politics and has nothing to tio with us," commented Mr J. A. Graham at to-day's meeting of the executive of the Hawke's Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society, when a letter was received fromi the Hawke's Bay branch of the New Zealand Farmers' Union on the question of formifig a federation of primary producers and asking for ihe co-operation of the society in the ptoposal which it considered of vital itnportance, Mr W. A. Tod concurred, and said that it was a ttiatter for the Farmers' Union. "We should not interfere in politics, '» said Mr R. Sutherlands It was decided to take no action in the inatter, Mr J. H. Macniven pointiilg out that previously th© society had decided to take no action in such ifiatters.
