AUCKLAND, Last Night. -The 1936 gold medal of tke New Zealand Institute of Arckitects kas been awarded to Mr Kenfieth Aimer, of Auckland, for his design for the aparttnent building, "Marino Gardens," at Mount Eden. The award is made annually in England by a ]Uty appointed hy the Royal Institute of British arcbitects. "Marino Grardens" is a two-storeyed block of 18 flats, The jury was UUanimous in placing the design first. Mr Aimer shared in a past award for ohe Auckland War Memorial Museum, ^hich he designed in partnership with Messrs H. C. Grierson and M. K. Draffin. This partnership was also responsible for the Wellington Citizens' Wai Memorial.
