21st BIRTHDAY PARTY AT WAIPUKURAU

. Over sixty guests attended the twenty-first birthday party tendered to Mr Cyril McCarty, only son of Mr and Mrs J. McCarty, on Wednesday evening. The hall was decorated in blue and white, the colours of Mr McCarty 's old college, St. Patriek's. Mrs McCarty reeeived the guests, among whom were Mrs Southee, Upper Hutt, Mr and Mrs Phillips, Lower liutt, Mr and Mrs T. Power, Hastings, and their families, as well as a very large number of old St. Patriek's collegians from Hastings. Mr Cyril McCarty 's father, Mr J. McCarty, proposed the toast of his son and Mr J. Halligan, Hastings, proposed the toast of Mrs Southeo, Mr Cyril McCarty 's grandmotker. Mr T. Banlcs sang and Mr L. Munro's orchestra provided the musie for daneing, which lasted until the early hours of the morning, Mr McCarty was the recipient of a large number of presents. Among the guests were: Misses M. Power, M. Taeon, A. McKeegan, L. Halligan, N. Tayler, M. Lewis, J. Sullivan, M. Bain, Y. Luke, A. McCarty (Napier), E. Giles, J. Bobertson, P. McKay, M. Flynn, M. White, M. Hutton; Messrs J. Martin, W. Lewis, D. Pullen, M. Garvey, Y. and J. Halligan, B. Walsh, A. Hart, A. Giles, R. and W. Tacon, M. Baillie, J. Atley, P. Maggin, F. Power, S. and P. Moloney, P. Begley, S. McKay, J. Caulton, D. Cullinane, and others.
