The engagement was announced in Invercargill during Easter of Clarence, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Batt, of 400 Lascelles Street, Hastings, to Myrtle, youngest daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. J. Hislop, Esk Street, Invercargill.
