Final Gallops at Awapuni DUNGARVAN TO BE SPELLED

PALMERSTON N-, This Day. For the final gallops at Awapuni th® weather was clear. The fiagg on the course proper were out 30 feet. The surface conditions were good. Silver River and Ingenuity x'an a, mile on the plough, the former shading his companion. Round Score and Black Fox did a, smart gallop over six furlongs. Black Fox finished strongly. BeBn Braggie ran four furlongs iq 52J. Final and Orient Dawn took 64seo*a the last three in 42. Royal Secret and Severe ran five furlongs in 1.8J, moving nicely. The Crooner ran four in 52J. Corroboree did the aame distance in 53, going well. Old Surrey cut out the last three furlongs of his task in 39. doudy Bay ran six furlongs in 1.20. Gatalogu® wound up with six furlongs in 1.20. Dungarvan, who pulled up lame oH Tuesday, is still siiffering from soreliess ahd has been withdrawn from al| engagements and is being spelled foij a month. It is believed the troubl^ was caused when Dungarvan had to jump over Karl at Feilding when tho latter broke down.
