South Island Competition FIRST PRIZE 'NEARLY PERFECT' (Eeceived 8, 10.5 a.m.) ) LONDON, April 7. The Hon. W. Nash and Mr W. J. Jordan- attended the judging of the South Island district lamb competition at Smithileld, The best district display resulted.' East Southland 1, North Otago 2, Southland 3. The best-pens competition resulted: No. 7 (mid-Oanterbury) 1, No. 38 (East Southland) 2; No. 197 (North Canterbury) 3. Mr Nash told the Australian AssOciated Presa that he was delighted with the standard, which the judges say was equal to any show ever exhibited at Smithfield. The first-prize pen was as near perfect as possible.
