Establishment in Manawatu NEW BUILDING DESIRED

PALMEESTON N., This Day. At a large gathering of School committeemen from all p&rts of the district and attended by the chairman and members of the Wanganui Education Board, Mr Hemingway, chairman of the board, ntatod that it was intended to establish an intermediate school here. If a new building were not erected, the present College street school would be used for the purpose. Mr N. T. Lambourn, Dlrector of Education, waB present and explained the general iscope and purpose of intermediate schools. The meeting passed a reSolution favouring the erection of a new, separate • school.
