The iorder of the leaders remained the same ,round the home .turn with Sinking Fund .coming fast and Mazir gaining ground j on the outside. Master Brierly stayed ! on to win by a neck from Sinking Fund, \ who defeated Gay Talkie by a similar • margin. Knight of Australia was close up fourth. Orate was still ahead of Diatomous xounding the turn and a furlong from the finish Tray Bit, 'King Neptune and Triune issued strong challenges, but Orate finished in impres- j sive manner to win by half a length from Tray Bit, with Triune a neck fur- . ther back.
