BROOKER—BECKETT

•The Rev. D. J. A. Shaw officiated at the wedding of Ivy Maud, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Beckett, Poukawa, and William David, eldest son of Mr. and -Mrs. W. Brooker, Pakipaki, which was solemnised at the Hastings Presbyterian Church. Miss Hilda Brooker was the bridesmaid and the duties of best man were carried out by Mr. John Fleming. When the bride left the church she was presented with a silver good-luck horse-shoe by her little nephew, Master Walter Wicken. • A very happy reception followed the ceremojiy. The wedding cake which was 'made and decorated by Mrs. A. Timms, Waipukurau, who also made the bouquets, was much admired by everyone.
