"Spain For The Spaniards'9 • LONDON, April 1, The Manchester Guardian's diplomafcic correspondent says it ia recognised in London that the chances of the Spanish Government are now much improved as they have Tegained the initiative. Madrid is so well proteet.ed with entrenchments that it. seems inpregnable. Both sides are beginning to show resentment over foreigners. Spain for the Spaniards is beeoming a popular slogaii. The international brigade now probably numbers not moto than 5000. Its losses have been terrific. The prospects for non-interventioa are now brighter than ever. A Barcelona message says that a new. cabinet has been formed with Senor' Tarradellas as Prime Minister. An&rchists are fortifying their' .head-, quarters and Oommunists have seized; ten tanks and barricaded the barracks.' It is hoped the new cabinet will ease the tension.
