Ate Meat in Canvas Bags saved by opera'non (Received 1, 8,45 a.m.) CHARLOTTE (Carolina), March 30. Duchess, a circus lion, seven years old, in the absence of her keeper, ate. meat packed in canvas bags. An emergency operation was performed and the canvas bags iemoved from the stomach. ( The lioness is expected to recover.-
