Further Revelations at French Shooting Inquiry ROMANCE RU1NED

Paul-Boncour was introdnced at the resumed magisterial Inquiry into the shooting of the Coipte de Chambrun at the Gare du Nord railway station on March 22. The accused, Htne. de la Fernere, said aho was fonnerly very friendly with M. Bon» cour, who later tried to do everything iii his power to injure her profeasionally and privately. She alleged that the Oooate de Qhambfan sought to damage her in Rome in order to please M. BoncOuf, who was premier when the Count beeame Arnfcassador. Another official at the French Legation in Bome sought to ruin lifer Tomance With 8ig£tor Mussolini in order to please M. Boncour. ghe said aho atteffipted to cowmit suicid© in Rome in Deoember. While she was recovering Signor Mussolini's secretary visited her daily* After this she frequentiy wrote to Signor Mussolini, but he did not answer. Later she WfcS asked to leave Rome "for the sake of peade." Mme. de la Fernere described how aho followcd the Comte do Chambrun to the station and ehot him. The inquiry was adjourned.
