QUIET WEDDING AT HAVELOCK NORTH

EUicott- — White A quiet wedding took plac© at St. Luke's Ghurch, Havelock North, on Saturday, when Mary Octavia, younger daughter of the late Mr and Mi's John White, of Norton, Anderson's Bay, Dunedin, was married to Kenneth William Hartman, youngest son of Mrs ElUcott, Bridge Mary, Hampshire, England, The ceremony was performed by the vicar, the Rev. Mr Weymouth. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr C. G. White, of Wellington, wore a smartly tailored- suit of burgundy afghalaine with a blouse of peach-tined satin and a becoming burgundy veiour hat. She carried a Vic-

torian posy in shades of wine and J fuchsia, After the ceremony a reception Was held at "Hillsbrook," where the bride 's sister, Mrs Every reeeived the guests. She wore a smart geranium pink frock with a short navy coat and pink hat, Her bouquet was composed of flowers in shades pf geranium pink, Mr H . M. Campbell proposed the toast to the health .of.the bride and bridegroom and Mr E. EUicott suitably repUed. The guests present were: Mr and Mrs G. White and Miss P. White (Wellington), Mr and Mrs Every (Tauranga) Mr and Mrs Myles Cloverdale (the latter a niece of the bridegroom), and Master Covcrdale (Hamilton), Mr and Mrs H, M. Campbell and Mr H, R.
