CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A hue of £100, in default two months' imprisonment, was imposed by Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., to-day on Kenueth Hore, aged 35, who was charged with carrying on the business of u booL.ir.aker. Dctoctive Rl"Lung, who carried out a raid at 11 0 'cloek this morning, said that Ilore was the agont for a big flrm of bookmakers opcrating in Dunedin. Members of this iirm were, he said, recently before - the Court and heavily iined. .
