Marble and Chestnut Found in Throat PREVIOUS ACCIDENTS

DUNEDIN, This Day. The medical evidenee at the inquest into the death of John Yincent, aged 57, who died in hospital after an operation, disclosed that an obstruction in his gullet was cansed by a glass marble and a horse chestnnt, death being probably due to bronchial pneumohia. The evidenee of the landlady of the deceased's boarding-house was that on Friday last when he tried to gargle, there was a rattle in his throat. She had freqnently seen him juggling with marbles and other articles but never in her presence had he attempted to catch them in his month. After the medical evidenee documents were produced ahowing that the deceased, ott a prior occasion last year, was in hospital with a bowel obstruction caused by peach and apjicot stones. Thef coroner adjourned the inquest fcr a post-mortem.
