Pukehou Group The annual meeting of the Pukehou Women 's Institute was held on Thursday afternoon, Mrs Turley . presiding over a good attendance. Oue new member was enrolied. The secretary read "the annual t«port, which was a very full one. The treasurer gave a detailed account of the financial position, which showed a sound financial .basis. Mrs Campbell expressed the' Institute 's thanks to Mr» Turley for her untiring efforts to make the Institute a success during her year' aa president. The competitions resulted: Handworked supper-cloth, " Miss Milne 1, Mis$ Quinliven 2, Mrs J. Baldwin 3. Yegetable bouquet: Mrs J. Baldwin 1, Mrs Cullen. 2, Mrs T. Thomson 3. Pollowing is the new committee: Mrs Schultze, president, Mesdames G. Warren and Turley, vice-president j ■ Mrs Gray, secretary j Mrs Hogg, treasurer; Mesdames Neave and Moore, Misse«* Milne and Sinclair. .The retiving president was presented with a beautiful bouquet made by Mrs MacCorkindale, who was the demonstrator for the afternoon on floral work. Following are the results of the year's competitions:. Sewing, Mrs Douald and Mrs 3. Baldwin tied 1, Mrs Cullen 2, Mrs J. Thomson 3.^ Cooking: Mrs Donald 1, Miss Bertie Bald2, M?s Cullen 3. Plowers: Mrs Donald 1, Mrs Neave 2, Miss Osborn 3. Mesdames Bainbridge and Cullen were elocted delegates to the Southorn H.B. cpuncil meeting on April 6. Afternoon tea was enjoyed :by evory» one and the meeting .closed with th© singing of the Kational Ahthem,
