CRICKETER'S DEATH
Suicide While Depressed LONDON, March 29. At the inquest coneerning the death of the former Norfolk and Sussex cricketer, A. E. Belf, who was found fatally shot in the pavilion of the Wellington College, a doetor gave evidenee that Belf was in indiffierent health and was depressed owing to worry over his wife's illness. A verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned. The professional cricketer, A. E. Belf, acted as player and coaeh in Auckland from 1906 to 1910. Belf, who was the flrst English coaeh to visit New Zealand, was engaged by the Eden District Cricket Club and in many quarters was regarded as the finest coaeh ever to have visited New Zealand.
