FEW BANKRUPTCIES

Only two Hawke's Bay people filed petitions in bankruptcy during the first three months of this year, compared with eight during the corresponding period of 1936. There was one petition this month, that of a Waipukurau wood merchant, as against five in March of last year. The monthly figures for the two quarters under review are as follow: —
