New Zealand PurcKases SYDNEY, March 30. Four lots from the Elderslie Stud were includcd in the annual yearling saies which opened to-day. A brown colt by Iliad from Dancing Lady sold to Mr. *W. Henderson, of Sydney, for 700 guineas; a brown filly (Iliad — Refmement) to Messrs. MacKinnon and Cox, of Melbourne, for 425 guineas; a bay colt (Night Eaid — Garaciosa) to Mr. K. Trihey, of Yictoria, for 550 juineas; a chestnut filly (Iliad — Lady Violet) to Mr. F. Keeley, of Boorowa, for 300 guineas. Good prices were obtained for Heroic vearlings. Six colts ^vere offered today, realising 5275 guineas. Colts from Desdemcna, Milan and Luminos changcd liands at 1300, 1200 and 1050 guineas respectively. There was a keen demand for-Veil-inond's, Mr. E. J. Watt paying 700 guineas for a colt from Peeka. A Marconigram colt from Steady Glass realised 850 guineas. j New Zealand purchases included a' Baralong — Imperial colt by Mr. W. C. 1 Ring, 120 guineas; a Baralong — Torquay filly by Mr. T. B. George, 65 guineas; a Simeonswort — Yaleriante colt by Mr. 3. Jamieson, of Masterton. 350 guineas; a Caledon — Lady Bawson filly by Mr. W. Wade, 60 guineas; «'• Dorie — Tamarzand colt by Mr. 1 George, 90 guineas.
