The National Council of the Inde-; j pendent Labour Party tabled a motion recognising the Spanish conflict as a war of the workers and peasants against the combined foTees of international Fascism and deploring nonintervention during the first three months by France and Russia, the .Socialist International and the British Labour Party on behalf of the Loyalists and intensifying the demafid for •(a British embargo on arms and volun•teers fox Fascist forces and on the export of arms to countries supplying Fascists. The motion was passed unanimously.'.
