VANCE—FLACK
The white and gold Easter decorafions in St, Matthew's Church, Hastings, made a beautiful setting for the wedding on Saturday evening of Ivy Alice Ruthjleldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Flack, Wolsley street, Hastings, and John Oonnoily Moore, second son of the late Mr and Mrs W. Vance, "Leafmore," Havelock North. The Rev. K. "Liggett, offiiciated at the ceremony and Mr C. B. Spinney played the wedding marches and the hymn, "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden." The Bride, who was given away by her father, chose a gown o£ parchment satin royale the corsage in front having an inset panel of fine pleats set to a V shape and shirred down the centre. The long sleeves were shirred from the elbow to the wrist and were finished with tiny silver buttons matching those at the back of the corsage while the long sash waB lined with silver lame. A handmade spray of white flowers with touches of silver was worn at the neck and she wore brocade shoes trimmed with silver kid. Her veil of embroidered tulle was arrangjed with a scaljoped coronet of orange blossom and fell to form a second train. She carried an armshower of white flowers with touches of pink rosebuds, dahlias and belladonna lilies. The two bridesmaids, Miss Winnje Ballard (chief) and Miss Elizabeth Burns (Wairarapa) wore gowns of corded satin, the former in spring green and the latter in dusky pink. They were made alike with tiny blaek velvet buttons edging the back of the cowl neck, also the train and continuing up the front of the skirt. Tiny buttons finished the long sleeves at the wrist, and black and silver velvet flowers were worn at the1 waist. "Their shoes were of satin to match their gowns and each maid wore a very smart little satin hat with narrow eye-v.eil and band of najrow black velvet ribbon. Their bouquets were in. pink shades with lilies, asters, carnations and maidenhair fern. The bride's little brother, Bernard Flack, was a page and looked very smart in long green velvet trousei's, a white satin blouse with tiny frill edging the collar an'd eontinuinm down the front. Mr G. Vance was the best man, and Mr G. Carey the groomsman. The wedding reception was held at the Selphast tearooms where the tables were decorated with flowers in shades of pink. The wedding cake, which was cut by the bride, was a gift from Miss F. Moore, the bridegroom's aunt, The guests were received by Mr and Mrs A- Flack, assisted by Miss Moore. Mrs Flack wore a gown of charmelaine silk with white pattern on a black ground. The jabot was edged with fine lace and sh© wore a plain black coat with cape sleeves. A posy of autumn shades with nasturtiums and ferns was carried. Miss Moore wore a black and white floral frock with black coat and hat and
a fur stole. Her posy waa also in au- 1 tumn shadea. The honeymoon is to be opent touring in the north and the bride's travelling ensemble was of grey tweed flecked with petrel blue and white with blue collar and belt. The longj coat was of the same material and she wore a smart little petrel blue toque, blue gloves and ehoes and carried a handbag in the same shade. Her gift from the bridegroqru was a musquash fur coat. The invited guests were : Miss Moore, Mr and Mrs Harman, and Miss Joy Harman, Mr and Mrs Langley and family, Mrs M. Bone, Mr and Mrs W.
