Hobbs Wins Championship at Napier

The Hawke's Bay Easter golf tournament at the Waiohiki course was conciuded yesterday in fine but very hot weather. The fixture proved a very successful one and at the conclusion the president, Mr N. Kettle, called upon Mrs H. E. Troutbeck, wife of the club captain, to present the prizes to the winners. Results were: — - Easter championship. — J. R. Hobbs. Runner-np L. A. Eeid. No. 1 bogey handicap. — W. F. Turner. No. 2 bogey handicap. — F. C. Fryer. Four-ball bogey handicap. — Elliott and Ellison. Flights. — H. R. Longstaff, ' J. W. Benson, L. Boland, R. J. Pattison, S. Canning (capt.), McLachlan, A. K. Pidduck and S. Inglis.
