MAIDS WEAR GOWNS IN RAINBOW SHADES
Tickel — Neal A rainbow scheme was featured in. the bricJesniaitiB' gowns at the wedding oi Yvonne Alvira, eldeat daughter of Mr. and Mw. E. E. Neal, Caroline road, Hastings, and Leanard Mason, son of Mr. M. Tickel and the late Mrs. Tickel, of Wellington. The Rev. K. Liggett officiated at the ceremony which was held at St, Matthety's Church, Hastings, and Mr. C, B. Spinney pregided at the organ, play ing the wedding marches and the music for the hyjnn, "0 Perfect Eove," While the register was being sigjned Mr, Eric Pointer s^ng "My Prayer." The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a oharniingly simplo gown of wbite souple satin with a very. long full train. The long full sleeves were shirred at the shoulders and the neokline was shirred at eaoh side to form a cowl. Tiny satin-covered buttons and loops finished the back and at the waistline was a belt with circular covered buekle. She wor© satin shoes and an embroidered tulle veil with orange blossom halo. Roses and asters in white and pale pink composed her shower bouquet. Gowns of stiffened net wounted on taffeta in shades of hlue, cherry and lavender respectivejly were worn (by the bridesmaids who were the Misses Eileen Knowleg (chief), Nola Neal (the bride' s Bister) and Anne Gilray. They were ont exaotly aiike with a pleated frill at the hem and pleated oollar while small diamante dower-buttons finished the corsage at the back. The sleeves were puffed and silver ribbons finished the waistline. Each maid wore a halo of pleated net edged with tiny flowers $e same shade as her gown. Bouquetjs of shaded pink asters and rqsebuds w§re carried and corsage sprays to match finished the neckline. Their gifts from the bridegrpom were French compaots of mirror glass. A white flowergirl, Jeau, Dawson, looked very dainty in white net over taffeta, fashioned exactly the eame ae the older maids' gowns and ehe carried similar flowers. Mr. Eric Pointer wa& the hest mau and Mr. Cecil Neal the groomsman. A quiet reception after the ceremony was held at the home of the bride's parents, wbere the floral decorations were carried out in shades of pinkOver the bridal table was snspended a white bell and on the table etood the two-tiered wedding cake, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Neal received the guests, Mrs* Neal wearing a gown of deep ink-blue cire satin with long full sleeves and cowled neckline. Her blue velvet toque had touches of turquoise in blue in tbe trimming and 6he carried a bouquet of deep red shaded flowers. When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon the bride travelled in a frock of Paton blue fine woollen afghalaine with scarf tie. The corsage was smocked at the neck and waist and a covered buckle finished the belt. She wore a brown velvet toque brown skin shoes and carried a crocodile purse. She also wore a beautiful deep brown kolinsky fur coat, a gift from her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Tickel will reside in Wellington.
