GARBO NOT TO RETIRE
Hollywood rumours tbat Greta Garbo will retire after completing "Madame Walewska," ber next picture, wero not confirmed by studio officials in New York recently. "Your guess is as good as mine," said one offieial. ""With Garbo we never know, but I tbink sbe will make many more pictures for us" "Camille," tbe film sbe bas just completed, is expected to be a great success botb iu America and abroad, and ber health is' definitely bettar tban it bas been for a long time. In recent montbs ber attitude in the studio tas undergone a welcomo cbange, and sbe startled all concerned witb tbe filming of "Camille" by ber friendlinoss and camaraderie. A few visitors were even allowed on the set for tbe first time, breaking tbe rigid rule of striet pxivacy wben Garbo is working, and sbe establisbed a precedent by distributing Cbristmas presents to tbe crew on tbe set. She even goes occasionally to intimate private parties and seems bappier. The original report tbat sbe intends to retire may bave arisen from tbe fact tbat sbe never signs for more than two pictures at a time, and "M'adama Walewska" is tbe last sbe' bas contracted for at present.
