The annual meeting of the above was held at the residence of Mrs. Orr, there being present a good attendance of members and two visitors, Mrs. Speer, of Auckland, and Mrs. Thorp, Napier. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs. Mahony and Miss Conway. The meeting opened with the ' 1 Ode ' ' and the motto for the day, "Forgive others, thyself never." After the minutes and correspond-ence-had been read, the balance sheet, showing a credit of £5 10/10 was moyed foT adoption. The president on rising to present her report was handed a dainty posy of autumn tinted flowers, by Miss Lesley Hanna. Mrs. Osborne thanked officera and members for their able assistance during the past year and though not standing for re-election as president mentioned that her five yeara of offi.ee had been a pleasure. Mrs. Orr, vice-president, then presented Mrs. Osborne with a bowl and hyacinth bulbs as a small token of the esteem in which she is held by members. The points prizes for the year resulted: — Miss Conway 1, Mrs. Collins 2, for handcraft; Mrs. Osborne 1, Mrs. Lowe 2, in the garden competition; Mrs. Hanna gaining the consolation prize awarded for most entries in competitions. The election of offieers resulted: — Mrs. Lowe, president; Mrs. Osborne and Mrs. Mahony, vice-presidents; Mrs. Collins, secretary; and Mrs. Orr, treasurer. Mrs. Hanna, Mrs. Sinclair, Mrs. Goodson, and Miss Conway were elected to the committee. Miss Conway was re-elected press correspondent. Mrs. Osborne presented Mrs. Hanna, the retiring secretary, with a bouquet of flowers, and a motion of thanks was also passed to the retiring treasurer, Mrs. Mahony. Mrs. Orrr was selected to act _as delegate to the forthcoming Federation meeting. Competitions for the day resulted: Best jar marmalade, Mrs. Orr and Mrs. Mahony tied for first place, Mrs. Hanna second. Zinnia, Mrs. Lowe 1, Mrs. Hanna 2. • Members were asked to bring nlnts for the new programme to the next meeting and after a vote of thanks to Mrs. Orr for her hospitality, afternoon tea was handed Tound and the singmg of the Nation al Anthem brought a very plcsant afternoon to a close,
